Hunger

Hey, everybody, it’s Bob McCranie, with Texas Pride Realty. And your realty of the day is hunger. Now, normally we do hunger and food drives around Thanksgiving because that’s when people think about it. Hunger exists throughout the rest of the year. There are those who are less fortunate than us. I suspect that everybody watching this video probably we don’t have to worry about where our next meal is.

So let’s talk about hunger in the heat of the summer and every other day of the year. I’ve got a couple of friends. They volunteer food banks or they volunteer at the kitchen. I’ve got one colleague of mine in the real estate industry, they make sandwiches every Saturday, just tons of bread and peanut butter, and they give them out to the homeless. Let’s talk about charities that need food right now. Let’s talk about places people can donate because people would rather give cash right now than run to the store and buy, you know, 27 canned goods. Or maybe they’ve got something in the pantry. Become a source for information in your neighborhood. Become the media expert. We can talk about this on any of the social medias, but this particularly would be good probably for Facebook. So let’s talk about hunger drives and food drives and ways to take care of our neighbors in our city. Take care. Bye-bye.

Air Traffic!!

Hey, everybody. It’s Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty and our realty idea of the day is air traffic.

So airports bring a lot to the economy of a local region. I’m happy to say that we live near DFW Airport. We live near Love Field Addison Airport. There’s the McKinney Airport north of us. There’s Dallas Executive Airport to the south of us. And Forth Worth has Meacham Field and the Alliance Airport, which is more of a commercial airport for cargo. That’s what I’m trying to say. So air traffic is always flying over my house. No, it’s not super low. It doesn’t bother me. I love the sound of planes flying overhead. Some people won’t.

So let’s figure out the traffic patterns of airplanes. Let’s talk about the region and what this traffic means to us. For me, it’s in a booming economy and the ability to fly anywhere I want to if I wanna take a vacation. But for you and your clients, it may mean something different. Let’s talk about that. Maybe you also have pilots who are, you know, small plane pilots. Maybe they need to know where the small aircraft airports are around there.

Beat The Heat!

Hey, everybody. It’s Bob McCranie, with Texas Pride Realty. And your realty idea of the day is how to beat the heat. So, let’s talk about the temperatures in your area. Now, in Dallas- Fort Worth, we’re already reaching the hundreds. And we got there early this year, so it’s going to be a long, hot summer. Let’s talk about places that people can go if their air conditioner goes out. Let’s urge them to get to a mall, let’s urge them to get a public safety place, whether it’s a library or a city-run facility.

Check on your neighbors, be sure that they have air conditioning, especially the elderly who may or may not be able to afford to have the air conditioner updated or replaced. Let’s go check on our friends and our neighbors and be sure that we’re being good stewards and good friends and neighbors to everybody. The heat can be deadly. Obviously, you want to talk about, God forbid, leaving kids in cars. Let’s talk about the heat and what it can do to people. It can also be somebody who’s out mowing the yard at 3.00 in the afternoon on a 110-degree day, which is just crazy, nobody needs to be out in that. So, Bob McCranie, Texas Pride Realty. Pet Charities!

Hey, everybody, it’s Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty. And our Realty Idea of the Day is pets.

Let’s talk about where you can take your pets locally. And let’s especially talk about pet charities in your area. There are lots of rescues that are set up specifically by a breed of an animal, or maybe it’s a dog rescue in general. I know, around here, there are greyhound rescues and there’s pit bull rescues. Let’s talk about places that are specific to pets and taking care of them. There’s a pet store around here that does nothing but birds. So, I’m not a bird person, but I like knowing it’s there. If you find an injured bird, you can take the bird there and have it treated.

So, let’s talk about pets. And I know we talk about pets a lot, but pets get a lot of interest. So, post about these on your social. Maybe you have a pet photo contest. Maybe you go to some of the charity places and you interview people who are taking care of these animals. And then list what the needs are for those charities so that people can donate.

Bastile Day

Hey, everyone. Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty. And if I time this right, today is July 14th, which is Bastille Day. Now, if you don’t remember your fifth grade history, Bastille Day is the day of French Independence. It’s the day they overthrew their king and went out on their own. And they learned that from us.

So let’s talk about what liberty means to us. Let’s talk about French influence in our area. Maybe if you’re from Louisiana or someplace that has French culture from long ago, you can talk about that.

Talk about French wines. What’s your favorite French wine? Which ones should people be buying on the…? And post a link to the Amazon account or the wine place that you love the most. Post a link so that people know which wine to go get.

Let’s talk about anything we can about liberty, France. Which airlines fly from your city to France? Maybe we talk about that. Everybody would love a Paris vacation.

So anyway, Bastille Day, it’s a great thing to talk about. And it’ll be something people aren’t expecting on social media today. So let’s talk about Bastille Day in France. Bob McCranie, there’ll be another “Realty Idea of the Day” posted here tomorrow. Bye-bye.

Life’s a Beach

Hey, everybody. Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty and life is a beach. So let’s talk about the best beaches in your area. And if there aren’t any beaches in your area, talk about beaches people could get to in three or four hours. Everybody deserves to go to the beach at least once or twice a day. I wish I could. Beaches are great.

So let’s talk about where the best beaches are, how to get to them from your area. Again, people are buying a lifestyle, so let’s talk about that. And this would be a great thing if you had a lot of pictures. You could do a Facebook. You could do a Tumblr, an Instagram. Not so much Twitter, unless you want to tweet from that area. This would also be a good Facebook live if you’re actually at the beach. “Hey everybody, I’m out here at the beach today. This is great.”

Talk about that. Let’s talk about also, SPF and things like that that they’re going to need on the beach. Anyway, life is a beach. Let’s have fun. It’s the summer. And again, let’s sell the lifestyle of where you are and how people are going to live when they move to your town. Bob McCranie, Texas Pride Realty. Hey, everybody. It’s Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty. And today’s “Realty Idea of the Day” is “From now on, I want to change what?” Talk to your sphere. Post out in your social media what change you want to make in your life. Are you looking to lose weight? I know a lot of people on my social right now are posting their workouts and posting how much they’ve lost and how much they still want to lose.

Post your savings. How much do you want to put away? Post your educational goals. Let people be a part of your world and I know that’s hard for some people. You’re very private, you don’t want to post anything on social. Talk about yourself, let people…invite them into your world. Let them be part of your struggle. As you make changes in your life, they will open up to you and they will have an affinity relationship with you, and boom suddenly they want to be your client. So go out there, talk about what it is you wanna change in your world. Invite people to post what they want to change in their world. Be there for each other. You will grow clients for life.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles

Hey, everybody. Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty. And your “Realty Idea of the Day” is planes, trains, and automobiles. Let’s talk about what it’s like to get around in your city. Do you have mass transit? Do you not have mass transit? You know, Texas has a highway system. If you don’t have a car here, you can hardly get anywhere.

Let’s talk about where the best airports are in your area. We have two choices, I can get up to DFW if I want to go international or cross-country. If I want to do shorter trips, I can go to Love Field. I can go anywhere I want to from two different airports.

What are the highways like? Do you have train service? We have Amtrak here, but it doesn’t really go that far. I mean, I’m sure it does, but nobody uses it. So what is your chosen mass transit? What are people moving to your area going to find when they’re trying to find a flight or get around just on the highways?

International Foods

Hey everybody. It’s Bob McCranie and this topic makes me hungry. Your realty idea of the day is international foods.

So people are no longer buying houses. I mean, they’re buying houses, but they know they’re gonna get three bedrooms and a of couple baths. How are they gonna live when they move to your city? Let’s show them the best place to get, you know, chicken curry. Let’s show them the best place to have Italian food. Let’s show them the best place to order Chinese. Let’s show them the best place to get Tex-Mex. Let’s show them the international foods that are available in your city.

I know, in my city, there are so many different choices here. There is an Asian community. There is an Indian community. There is a Pakistani community. There is Italian everywhere. There’s good all-American food too.

So let’s talk about the different international foods that are in your city and your favorite places to go, so the people realize they’re not just buying a three-bedroom, two-bath house. They’re buying a lifestyle. So let’s sell them that. This’ll be a great thing to put on your Google Maps. Maps is its own app now, Google Maps, Facebook, Instagram, just blog about each one of these. Five pictures, couple of things, take pictures of the food. Take pictures of their menus. Talk to the managers. The managers would love to talk to you. Maybe they’ll be on camera.

Poets & Writers

Hey, everybody. It’s Bob McCranie, with Texas Pride Realty. And your realty idea of the day is Poets and Writers. So, almost every community I know of has some, sort of, writing group. I know that scrapbooking has become incredibly important to a certain generation.

Autobiography has become important to people. As the elder community gets older, they wanna write down who they were and what they’ve been through. So let’s find the writers groups. Let’s feature a couple of writers in our blogs. Let’s talk to people about what it’s like to be them and why they are writing their story. Let’s get out there and find those writers groups and give them a voice on your Facebook or on your Instagram, and give them an outlet to have their story told.
