Hunger

Hey, everybody, it’s Bob McCranie, with Texas Pride Realty. And your realty of the day is hunger. Now, normally we do hunger and food drives around Thanksgiving because that’s when people think about it. Hunger exists throughout the rest of the year. There are those who are less fortunate than us. I suspect that everybody watching this video probably we don’t have to worry about where our next meal is.

So let’s talk about hunger in the heat of the summer and every other day of the year. I’ve got a couple of friends. They volunteer food banks or they volunteer at the kitchen. I’ve got one colleague of mine in the real estate industry, they make sandwiches every Saturday, just tons of bread and peanut butter, and they give them out to the homeless. Let’s talk about charities that need food right now. Let’s talk about places people can donate because people would rather give cash right now than run to the store and buy, you know, 27 canned goods. Or maybe they’ve got something in the pantry. Become a source for information in your neighborhood. Become the media expert. We can talk about this on any of the social medias, but this particularly would be good probably for Facebook. So let’s talk about hunger drives and food drives and ways to take care of our neighbors in our city. Take care. Bye-bye.

Air Traffic!!

Hey, everybody. It’s Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty and our realty idea of the day is air traffic.

So airports bring a lot to the economy of a local region. I’m happy to say that we live near DFW Airport. We live near Love Field Addison Airport. There’s the McKinney Airport north of us. There’s Dallas Executive Airport to the south of us. And Forth Worth has Meacham Field and the Alliance Airport, which is more of a commercial airport for cargo. That’s what I’m trying to say. So air traffic is always flying over my house. No, it’s not super low. It doesn’t bother me. I love the sound of planes flying overhead. Some people won’t.

So let’s figure out the traffic patterns of airplanes. Let’s talk about the region and what this traffic means to us. For me, it’s in a booming economy and the ability to fly anywhere I want to if I wanna take a vacation. But for you and your clients, it may mean something different. Let’s talk about that. Maybe you also have pilots who are, you know, small plane pilots. Maybe they need to know where the small aircraft airports are around there.

Beat The Heat!

Hey, everybody. It’s Bob McCranie, with Texas Pride Realty. And your realty idea of the day is how to beat the heat. So, let’s talk about the temperatures in your area. Now, in Dallas- Fort Worth, we’re already reaching the hundreds. And we got there early this year, so it’s going to be a long, hot summer. Let’s talk about places that people can go if their air conditioner goes out. Let’s urge them to get to a mall, let’s urge them to get a public safety place, whether it’s a library or a city-run facility.

Check on your neighbors, be sure that they have air conditioning, especially the elderly who may or may not be able to afford to have the air conditioner updated or replaced. Let’s go check on our friends and our neighbors and be sure that we’re being good stewards and good friends and neighbors to everybody. The heat can be deadly. Obviously, you want to talk about, God forbid, leaving kids in cars. Let’s talk about the heat and what it can do to people. It can also be somebody who’s out mowing the yard at 3.00 in the afternoon on a 110-degree day, which is just crazy, nobody needs to be out in that. So, Bob McCranie, Texas Pride Realty. Pet Charities!

Hey, everybody, it’s Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty. And our Realty Idea of the Day is pets.

Let’s talk about where you can take your pets locally. And let’s especially talk about pet charities in your area. There are lots of rescues that are set up specifically by a breed of an animal, or maybe it’s a dog rescue in general. I know, around here, there are greyhound rescues and there’s pit bull rescues. Let’s talk about places that are specific to pets and taking care of them. There’s a pet store around here that does nothing but birds. So, I’m not a bird person, but I like knowing it’s there. If you find an injured bird, you can take the bird there and have it treated.

So, let’s talk about pets. And I know we talk about pets a lot, but pets get a lot of interest. So, post about these on your social. Maybe you have a pet photo contest. Maybe you go to some of the charity places and you interview people who are taking care of these animals. And then list what the needs are for those charities so that people can donate.

Bastile Day

Hey, everyone. Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty. And if I time this right, today is July 14th, which is Bastille Day. Now, if you don’t remember your fifth grade history, Bastille Day is the day of French Independence. It’s the day they overthrew their king and went out on their own. And they learned that from us.

So let’s talk about what liberty means to us. Let’s talk about French influence in our area. Maybe if you’re from Louisiana or someplace that has French culture from long ago, you can talk about that.

Talk about French wines. What’s your favorite French wine? Which ones should people be buying on the…? And post a link to the Amazon account or the wine place that you love the most. Post a link so that people know which wine to go get.

Let’s talk about anything we can about liberty, France. Which airlines fly from your city to France? Maybe we talk about that. Everybody would love a Paris vacation.

So anyway, Bastille Day, it’s a great thing to talk about. And it’ll be something people aren’t expecting on social media today. So let’s talk about Bastille Day in France. Bob McCranie, there’ll be another “Realty Idea of the Day” posted here tomorrow. Bye-bye.
