Security Cameras

Hey, everyone, it’s Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty, and your Realty Idea of the Day is security cameras.

So, Nest… We just talked yesterday about, you know, security locks, the different sort of electronic locks. Let’s talk today about security cameras and how they have an effect on listings, how they have an effect on buyers seeing a listing. I know, in Texas, there’s a new disclosure, whether you have cameras in your house and you could be watching somebody while they’re previewing your home for purchase.

So, also, let’s talk about which brands are best. Nest has them. I think, personally, Nest is the leader in these cameras. They’re owned by Google. But, I know that some of the other brands are getting into this. SimpliSafe is figuring out that they need to figure out what to do with the cameras, and some of the other brands are getting in as well. I think Honeywell is, maybe, is also a competitor.

Anyway, go figure out security cameras, and let’s ask people how many have them and which ones they’re happiest with. Take care. Bye-bye.

Dining Rooms

Hey, everybody. It’s Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty, and your realty idea of the day is to talk about dining rooms. Everybody has one in their house, most people have used them for something totally different, or it’s the least used part of your house because you eat in the kitchen. But the holidays are coming and dining rooms will become much more important as family gathers and grandkids come over, and you need more space. My fiance and I, we serve Thanksgiving for 40 people and it’s usually outside because I just can’t get 40 people in my house. So, what I would want you to talk about is what are the dining room options for the holidays. Maybe post some pictures from Pinterest about dining rooms that have been well-decorated or made festive for the… Now is the time to start planning this. You don’t just plan Thanksgiving two days before. You need to be planning it now. So get online and start talking to your sphere about what their holiday plans are and how they’re gonna use their dining room, and dress it up. Run Run Run

Hey, everyone. It’s Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty. And your realty idea of the day is “Run, Run, Run.”

Okay. So I have a friend, when he comes to town, after he raids my liquor cabinet, the second thing he likes to go do is run our nature trails. We have an extensive, miles and miles and miles of nature trails around here. And he loves to go do that. I…if you ever met me in person, you know, I’m not a runner. I’m not going to go out and do this. But health and fitness are a huge part of our community. A few sessions ago, we talked about doing parks and recreation. Now, where’s a good place for running? And where are there local running marathons or triathlons or just, you know, charity runs?

Running is a big subculture in our area. So let’s talk about that. How do people protect themselves? How do people…you know, what’s the best thing to wear, reflective wear, running in the evening or the morning. How do you make yourself visible to cars in the area? Where’s the safest trails to be on so that you’re not out in the middle of things? Run, run, run. Find out everything you can about running in your area. And post about it.

New Construction!

Hey everybody! It’s Bob McCranie with Texas Pride Realty and your Realty Idea of the Day is “New Construction.” I’m getting tongue tangled all over the place. So, new construction. So, I love to go tour new construction homes. Take a lot of pictures. I go interview the new construction rep. They usually are sitting out in their model homes pretty bored over the week. So go on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Maybe go when you don’t think anybody is going to be there. Spend some quality time. Really take excellent pictures, like it was your listing. Go out and focus on new home construction. Look at how it’s being built. Look at the interiors they are doing. Look at the insulation. Look at the way that they are fabricating their homes. So that when somebody says, “Hey, I love this, this, and this in a home”, you already know which builder to go to. Plus you are going to know which builders are giving you the best referrals and commissions. So go out, look at new home construction. Go tour them. Go take pictures and post them all over your social. And I mean everyone of your social medias, post them there. There will be another idea tomorrow. Bye-bye.
